Monster: X-Factor

Released today a Marvel Monster welcoming Madrox and his team. A return of X-Factor necessarily expected.

We normally used to find X-Factor (following the series Madrox) in the monthly Astonishing X-Men . After summer 2010, the title - yet one of the best in the magazine - had ceased to be published. He will make his comeback in the future X-Men Universe , but to catch up, we released a Panini Monster containing episodes # 46 to # 50 , # 200 to # 203 and X-Factor: X Nation. Rest assured, there is no "hole" between numbers # 50 and # 200 , the series has just resumed its original numbering, a practice that is a lot right now.
A small problem at the outset: the back cover, Panini announced that the book contains "complete adventures. Either it's a lie, or they have not read what they publish, because obviously not only new players will struggle to follow the sequence of events (which take root well in advance), and this from the first pages, but in addition, beginning in the second story arc is not absolutely settled. There is even a big cliffhanger. It seems worth noting, to avoid disappointment, as what is published here is absolutely not designed primarily to be read without worrying episodes that precede and below.
And of course, not even a page with just a little rundown on the characters, the story of a little light the lantern of the newcomers. Well, it is true that it would require a little work, have a genuine concern and editorial vision of the readership, both say it's not really the kind of sellers stickers.
So that's it, let's now content.

course found Peter David's excellent the scenario. The drawings are done by Valentine De Landro , Bing Cansino , Marco Santucci and Karl Moline . Graphically, poor David is already fallen ill (remember Stroman!), Then one can even say that it is generally very nice and well done.
The first part (until # 50), is not the most exciting. The following events are taking place simultaneously in the present and 80 years in the future, of course with the central role and always enigmatic Layla Miller (the little girl "who knows everything" from House of M which has also grown considerably since then), a diminished but still harmful Doom, a double Madrox gone wrong and even a small concept of variance chronal inhibitor (a "fataliserrure" thank you) to really change the course of a time line instead of creating a new one.
Especially during the second half as David gives the full measure of his talent. Madrox and his friends are contacted by detectives Valeria and Franklin Richards as their mother disappeared and their father's genius does not seem to care so much. The author depicts a confrontation between Ben Grimm quite tasty and Guido, aka Strong Guy (who lost his puff but, fortunately, is trying not to be called Malabar VF). Lots of fun, well chiselled and replicas of references to various films worship (the Delorean, the well known "do you like gladiator movies," etc.). David allows himself a little self-deprecating when it interrupted one of his characters by suggesting he had better keep following her story for a mini-series.
short, the Peter David as we like, totally at ease in a record half-serious half-offset that has made all the success of X-Factor .

It then connects
with X-Factor: X Nation, while the small band went on Utopia at the invitation of Cyclops. Nothing extraordinary but still a few tasty little moments, especially when Madrox Magneto sees land. Finally, it ends with a short story showing Theresa Cassidy, still reeling from the disappearance of his son (see this article ), which collects in Ireland over the grave (actually empty for now) of his father. Again, a small mixture of emotion and secondary education, particularly with the arrival of Father Maddox, a double "Emancipated" from Madrox.
It should be noted that the team from this small presentation was enhanced by Longshot, Darwin and Shatterstar. The latter is a particularly well used by the writer and is the source of a large number of valves.
short, no surprises, X-Factor rest (in my opinion) the best time series X, with a subtle balance between drama, twists and laugh, and especially thanks with engaging characters and particularly well written.

be missed for fans of the series, Monster risk however, of how it is presented, to divert the curious passage. Nothing is done in all cases to facilitate their task. This is particularly unfortunate that this passage was in print an opportunity to reach a wider audience.
